开迪海运(深圳)有限公司成立于2006年5月31日。由法定代表人魏志坚先生担任，公司经营范围包括:不承揽海运、陆运、空运进出口货物、国际展品、个人物品及过境货物的国际运输代理业务，包括:货运、海运、订舱、仓储、中转、拆箱、杂费收费、报关、检验检疫、保险、相关短途运输服务及运输咨询业务、国际多式联运、货运(含集装箱拼箱);国内货运代理业务;海洋信息咨询;从事中华人民共和国港口货物的无船运输。[1]中国远洋运输集团有限公司成立于1961年。远洋航线覆盖全球160多个国家和地区的1500多个港口，船队规模居世界第二。中航集团1997年在上海成立，以航运为主营业务，形成了航运与航运金融、物流、码头、修船、科技信息等多元化产业协同发展的格局。2015年8月，中远集团与中海集团共同成立中央五人“改革领导小组”，由中海集团董事长兼党委书记徐立荣领导。2015年8月7日晚，中远集团与中海集团上市公司中远、中海集运、中海集运、中海航运同时宣布，由于控股股东中远集团、中海集团计划进行重大发行，中远集团和中海集团股票停牌。两大航运中心公司合并的道路就此展开。[5]中国船东协会2015年12月9日宣布，中国远洋运输集团有限公司是中国远洋运输(集团)总公司与中国远洋运输(集团)总公司合并后的新集团名称。2015年12月10日，接近中远集团的人士向财新网透露，中远集团和中海集团的整体改革方案已获国务院批准。集团更名为“中国远洋运输集团”，总部设在上海。[5]

 

2015年12月11日，经国务院批准，中国远洋运输(集团)总公司与中国远洋运输(集团)总公司实施重组。

 

2016年2月18日，中海集团有限公司在上海正式成立。任命徐立荣为董事长、党组书记，任命万敏为总经理、党组副书记。集团总部设在上海。[1]

 

2016年3月18日，中海集团在北京与巴西淡水河谷签署了长期运输协议。根据该协议，未来27年，中国矿商每年将运送约1600万吨淡水河谷的铁矿石。[6]

On February 18, 2016, China shipping group co., ltd. was formally established in Shanghai.
